📌 Dog, cat and chicken friendly
Asterix is looking for a special home- Asterix is an exceptionally affectionate and loyal dog.
Asterix loves nothing more than to be in the company of her family. Asterix suffers from separation anxiety. Asterix tends to attach herself to a single person in the house and will pine, cry and howl when they are not in sight. She feels most relaxed when her family are near, and will sit on their laps at any opportunity. In foster care, Asterix has been sleeping on her family’s bed, where she sleeps all night without a peep.
Her anxiety makes it difficult to leave Asterix at home alone for even short periods of time. Asterix requires a home where her family will be around almost always, or where Asterix can accompany her family on errands and trips. Secure fencing is required, as Asterix can tend to try to escape if she feels anxious. This is especially the case during a thunderstorm. Her new family will need to demonstrate how they would deal with Asterix’s anxiety in their application.
Asterix is child friendly, however toddlers and young children can ‘spook’ her with their excitement and noise levels. It is recommended that Asterix only live with older children in a calm household.
Asterix is so sweet and gentle. She is very social with other dogs and looks forward to going on her daily walk where she meets other dogs on lead. Ideally, Asterix would benefit from living with another calm dog, although not necessary if the right home is found. Asterix is cat and chook friendly.
Asterix has had recent dental surgery where 15 teeth were removed. Her mouth has healed brilliantly and she is eating soft and hard foods.
Asterix enjoys playing with soft toys, accompanying her family on café coffee dates and exploring the large garden. Asterix would make the perfect companion to any family/person who is prepared to include her in every aspect of their lives.
