About Zeus ~ 9yr Old Labrador X (On Trial 24/3/22)
Who doesn’t love cuddles from a 40kg love bug! Zeus is a 7yr old Labrador X who is enjoying retiring into a lifestyle filled with sleepy days, lazy walks and LOTS of pats and cuddles – yes he will put his arm on you or around you to let you know he needs a hug!
Zeus is housetrained and not destructive at all. He enjoys walks but tires easily so definitely isn’t up for any runs or long hikes. His favourite thing of all is to be with his human. He would love to be adopted by someone who is around the home a lot and happy to let him be near you all the time. This includes sleeping inside at night – if he’s not allowed on your bed he’d really love a comfy bed to rest his big body on. He travels well and sits calmly in the car.
Zeus eats a mix of fresh raw food and some high-quality kibble, twice a day. He’s a low maintenance kind of guy, doesn’t bark, dig or play with toys, he really just craves human love and affection. Zeus is not a fan of cats and doesn’t respond well to high energy dogs or situations, he really is happiest with a quiet calm lifestyle. He has shown to be a bit snappy around food so we are asking for him to go to a dog free home so he can enjoy his retirement in peace.
Zeus has shown to be capable of jumping 5ft colourbond to try and follow his favourite human/s when they leave home. However, this is not an issue with secure fencing and inside access, as Zeus is happiest and most relaxed when he can sleep inside for most of the day. Zeus will not suit a home with young children and is best suited to a home where children are over the age of 12yrs old.
Zeus is in foster care in Lake Macquarie but would love to get settled in his own home soon. His adoption fee is $450, which includes up to date vet work. He is up to date with vaccinations, flea and worming treatment, and is microchipped and desexed.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:

(2) If the questionnaire is approved we will arrange a property check so we
can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) After that we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster
carer's home, nearby park or your home.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family
member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
