Foster or Adopt Axel ❤️!

Axel is a sweet 9 year old male (desexed) Cattle Dog x Staffy! He is very affectionate, and is child and dog friendly! 😍

We urgently need to find him a foster carer - Poor Axel was adopted recently, however after only a few days, his new family decided he was “too big and boisterous” for them :( ! Axel has also been attempting to herd their neighbours chickens.

His previous owner has had to make the difficult decision to rehome Axel, who she calls her “best friend”, due to divorce, having 2 young children and having to relocate.

Axel would suit a home with a fenced backyard or reasonable outdoor area. He has always been an indoor/outdoor dog.

Axel is the best doggo, and deserves the best home!

Despite his age he is a medium-high energy dog! He is medium sized and is a strong dog. He just wants somebody to love and love him back, frequent walks and play would be great, and he also loves treats, his favourite are fresh raw bones that he can chew on all afternoon.

Axel is a beautiful dog who shows nothing less than love, devotion and loyalty. He will follow you around the yard and the house, often laying down nearby to keep an eye on things. Axel loves a good walk and game of tug-of-war, and he absolutely loves the toy chickens that squeak, he will take the greatest care of the chicken when chewing it, whereas many other toys don't stand a chance. Axel loves a good snuggle, and just wants somebody to be his best friend.

We will provide a care pack with Axel. This will include his bed, remainder of his food (Meals for Mutts dry food), toys, treats & more!

Suitability to children:
Axel is friendly to everyone, however due to his size & energy when he is running, he can accidentally knock small children over.

Suitability to other pets:
Axel has lived with another dog approximately 4 years ago, as well as a cat and there were no issues. He does get very excited around other animals and may scare cats. He does have a herding instinct so he would not be suited to a home with birds or chickens. While on walks Axel generally likes to sniff other dogs.

Health:
Axel has no behavioural or medical issues. He will have all his initial vet work completed before moving into a new home.
