About Ziggy
Meet the gorgeous Ziggy!
This sweetheart absolutely loves being with her humans and loves being the centre of their attention.
She is looking for a new adult-only home or one with older children due to her exuberant nature and big-dog strength. She does not want to live with cats or pocket pets but would be able to live with a suitability matched social male dog.
Ziggy is such a clever girl, so ongoing reward-based training will be essential in her new home to teach her new things and to help build trust with her new owners. She knows the basic cues and tends to pick up new things quickly. She's even crate trained! If you work from home (or are home more often than not), Ziggy will make a great companion and will likely sit by your feet as you work the day away.
She is energetic, loves to explore on long walks and is very affectionate- there is nothing she wouldn't do for a good bum scratch and quality cuddle!
Like many Shepherds, Ziggy has mild hip dysplasia that is being managed through joint support supplements and ongoing joint care that we will be able to discuss with potential adopters.
Ziggy's adoption fee includes a 12kg bag of Hills Joint Care food.
Could Ziggy be your new best friend??
**Application Process**
When on the Pet Rescue profile push the "enquire about this pet" button. Follow the prompts to "send enquiry now" and in the message section please place information about the home you can provide. Include current/past pets and their breed, children including ages that live with you or visit, and any other information relevant to training/exercise/energy requirements. The information you provide helps us match the dog you've applied for to the most suitable home. We use this information in lieu of an application form. We do not take applications for dogs over the phone. We aim to reply to all applications within 5 business days. All of our dog meet and greets occur at the adoption centre in Craigieburn. The majority of our dogs are in a foster home not at the shelter so you need to apply via the website to meet them. Thank you.
