About Remo
Hi, my name is Remo (it means strong). My foster mum Leesa named me and told me I am a very strong boy that never gives up, she does call me Remmy most of the time though. I also have lots of nicknames because of my “funny” leg. My funny leg is very different to all other dog’s legs, Leesa said its more like a yabby claw. When I came to Chally I had an operation on my other front leg (it wasn’t quite right either) to make it strong because my claw leg doesn’t work well. Leesa said I did really well and was a very good boy after the surgery. It took me a long time to use my new strong leg but I worked really hard and now I can run around crazy. Even though I don’t use my claw to walk, it helps me with my balance and I can even use it to grab and hold onto things, a bit like chopsticks really haha.
I have been with Leesa for a lot of months and I know she loves me SOOO much, she always gives me everything I love. Belly rubs, pats, cuddles, toys, she plays chasey with me, and takes me on adventures. I love going in the car to new places and meeting new people. Leesa is going to miss me a lot when I find my forever family, she said she will probs ugly cry. She said I’m a very special boy that everyone falls in love with, and that there is just “something about me”. I think it might be my cheeky nature, I love to see what I can get away with. Leesa said sometimes I can be too clever for my own good, not sure what that means but Im happy to be called too clever. I do have a few things I know Leesa wont let me get away with, I have to sit and wait for my food, sit and wait at the door, give toys back when she says “give”, sleep in my crate at night, and leave things when she says “leave it”.
I have foster brothers here and I love to play with them, they are really big so I roll and run and I think I’m faster than them. I have also played with other dogs too, I would love to have a fur brother or sister at my forever home but they will need to love to play a LOT because I like to play nearly ALL day. I will need my family to have lots of couch cuddles with me too because I get tired after a big day of playing and need to rest and snuggle.
I hope I can find my forever family soon so I can be your “special boy” just like I am at Leesa’s. I promise I will give you lots of love and lots of laughs too, I can be a real character. I just need someone to love me as I am, I don’t even know why people think my leg looks funny.
A condition of our adoption agreement is that all dogs adopted from Chally MUST be put through obedience training, if you cannot meet this commitment please do not apply. All our dogs deserve the chance to be the very best they can be, and we will choose homes that will ensure this is the case.

Medical notes
Remmy has a birth abnormality in his front right leg, he also had surgery on his front left leg and had a metal rod inserted to strengthen and straighten it to ensure it was able to support him. Remmy does not need any further treatment or surgery, after many consultations it was decided he needed his deformed leg to aid his balance.
