About Ragnar
RAGNAR is a very handsome, affectionate and well-mannered pedigreed Siberian husky born on 25 April 2018.
According to his papers, Ragnar's colouring is "agouti and white". Agouti huskies are quite rare. They have fur characterized by bands of color within each hair itself. It's a form of camouflage that is common in wild animals such as wolves, rabbits, rodents and deer. But it's very unusual in domesticated dogs and gives Agouti huskies a "wolf-like" appearance.
True to his breed, Ragnar is an intelligent and independent dog. He is very affectionate and is happy to greet strangers with a lick and a wag of the tail, but he's not needy. Content in his own company, you'll often find him lying in the shade, observing his surroundings.
Ragnar is also placid, well-mannered and accepting of human direction. He loves walks and riding in the car.
Appearance-wise, he is simply stunning. He has beautiful brown eyes, a dense and plush coat, a small ruff around the neck and a super well-furred tail. Somehow he manages to stay clean, even if he lies in the dirt. He accepts grooming with grace.
Ragnar thrives on the company of adult humans, but unfortunately he had a negative interaction with the toddler in his previous family, which prompted him to nip (but not break the skin). As a result, Ragnar was surrendered to us by his heartbroken family and his forever home will need to be adults-only.
With an appropriate introduction, Ragnar is dog-friendly, but he has had no exposure to cats since being in care.
Ragnar loves to run and will need plenty of exercise and a spacious backyard. Very secure fencing is essential, as is prior experience with Arctic working dogs.
