About Pixie
Pixie is an 8 year old female Cairn Terrier who has come from a loving home. She was surrendered due to a change in family circumstances. Pixie is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and parasite treated. She was raised as a companion dog in a household that loved and adored her. She lived mostly inside (she is happy outside for a bit during the day), she is toilet trained and very well behaved. She has basic training and responds well.
Pixie is friendly, happy, loving, loyal, playful and sweet natured. She loves walks, car rides, being inside, playing with toys, pat's and being included in activities with her family.
Pixie is unsuitable with other dogs because she is very picky on who she likes and who she dislikes. She is not suitable to a home who wants her to run at dogs parks, be off lead around other dogs or interact regularly with other dogs. In foster care she has lived in a home with other dogs and cats. But she is unsuitable to a home with cats and although she liked some dogs, she showed reactivity (lunging and barking) at other dogs in foster care. We also think she would be best suited to a home with older children.
Please contact us via email rescuemewhiskersandpaws@gmail.com with Pixie in the subject line and we will send you a Dog Adoption Questionnaire to complete and return to us.

Adoption details
All of our animals are placed into foster care in a family type environment, which allows them to be exposed to various environmental factors such as cats, dogs, children, visitors, noises etc.
All of our animals have a health assessment. They are desexed, microchipped, receive their 1st F4 vaccination or C4 vaccination and have parasite treatment prior to going to their new homes. Once ready for adoption we look to find our fosters the most suitable home environment depending on their personalities and needs.
