About Ace 💙
Ace is a 4.5 year old who has been named “the world’s happiest greyhound” by his vet! Unlike your typical timid grey, Ace is energetic, very playful and loves humans and lots of attention from them.
For the past 6 months Ace has been living with a young couple in Sydney, but it’s clear that he needs more space to run around in and is not suitable for inner city apartment living. Ace is currently being fostered by another young couple on the northern beaches in Sydney and has more than enough space in their roomy 2 bedroom apartment. A shared garden or a backyard is definitely ideal as he loves to do zoomies in the morning and evening.
Ace loves playing with his humans, but he is also happy to play by himself with his squeaky toys. Ace absolutely loves car rides and is happy in any type; from a two-door car, a wagon to a van - he loves to watch the world go by through the windows. He is great at social events because he is not overwhelmed by lots of people and laps up all the pats and love!
Ace is quite vocal with other dogs and can become over excited which at times can lead to frustration. He has never been overly aggressive with another dog, we believe his vocal reactions are him trying to communicate but his lack of social interaction means he just does not know how to do so properly yet. He has bonded beautifully with our friends female greyhound in just 3 weeks and we have seen an improvement in his interactions with other dogs because of this new relationship.
We think with some gentle and slow introductions Ace could get along with other household dogs. Ace is a very good boy who always tries his best to obey you. He is extremely food driven and attentive which has made training him with common commands seamless. If his new owner had some more time to train him properly Ace will be an extremely obedient dog.
Ace LOVES fruit of any sort , especially bananas and pears, and can be convinced to do anything if fruit is involved!
