About Nova (Located in Doncaster East)
If you’re the kind of person that needs a loving companion that respects your space and isn’t a stage 5 clinger, our sweet and gentle Nova could be the perfect gal for you!
Happy to keep herself entertained while you are working/running errands and then keen to curl up on the couch next to you for TV/reading time, Nova is one awesomely independent lady! She certainly isn’t opposed to some chin scratches (oh how she loooooves a chin scratch!!!) while she sits with you, but she’s not all that jazzed about invading your personal space. She knows that sometimes the best companion is the one that offers a sweet and gentle paw, rather than suffocating you in fluff!
This gorgeous girl, like many of the lovely ladies of BFFR, already delivered two sets of kittens while she was practically still a kitten herself. Our heart breaks for cats like Nova who never got to truly experience their kittenhood and be treated with kindness, love and nurture like they deserved, so we are looking for a forever home for Nova that will provide her with a safe and welcoming space to thrive and be the kitten she never got to be.
Nova’s special weekend routine is to jump back in bed with her humans to have a little sleep in, (after demanding you feed her first, of course!) and starting the morning with a some quiet snuggle time (she’ll even reach out her paw to check you’re still there after a while) 💕
Nova likes to take her time and make people prove their worthiness before she rolls over and allows them to pat her marshmallow soft belly, so her new humans will need to allow her the opportunity to open up in her own time. Once she does open up though, you will be rewarded with a beautiful and loving companion to share your days with.
She can sometimes get a little spooked by loud noises and can be a little shy and intimidated when people bend down over her to give her a pat, she much prefers to come to you. For this reason we believe Nova wouldn’t be well suited to living with young children. She would best suit more laid back companion/s who like to keep their space nice and ~zen~.
Poor Nova had a very painful condition in her mouth which meant she needed 20 of her teeth removed when she came into care, a pretty huge procedure for such a young cat! She has learned to eat a soft food only diet like a champion, and we think being toothless makes her even CUTER! She is also FIV+, meaning she will need to be kept indoors at all times or have access to a secure cat run for any outdoors time.
We know Nova will be someone’s puuuuurfect match, and we simply can’t wait to find them!
