Blanche is a sweet, shy lady. Once she’s comfortable, she is an easy-going, goofy girl with a cheeky stubborn streak. When she isn’t trying to smother you in kisses, or chasing flies outside, she is stretched out on the couch in a sploot or on her back with paws up.

Apart from jumping up for a kiss on the mouth when you get home, she is gentle and well behaved. She’d love nothing more than to spoon you in bed at night.

Blanche makes a quick study with her smarts and love of food (sit, shake, wait for dinner) but tell her it’s bed time and that she needs to get off the couch and onto her bed and you’ll find you have yourself a large doggy paperweight. Although very intelligent, we believe group training will be beneficial to give her confidence and cement her bond with her new owner/s.

Blanche can be selective with her doggy friends so would be best as a cherished only dog or with an easy going large male dog. Her boxer stare can put dogs off at first meeting. Whilst she gets along well with her small foster fur brother, calm dog friends are more her style.

Her foster carer works full time and she isn’t too keen on it, we feel she needs an owner that is around a lot more, works from home or is recently retired.

A home with children aged 12+ is best for this shy gal.
