About Boss DL2779
If it's a couch potato you are looking for, look no further.
Boss is a great big snuggle bug with the sweetest nature. His dream home has a nice comfy spot on the couch with his name on it... and once he claims his spot, he isn't moving!
Boss can be a bit of a Scooby Doo, as he does get scared of the dark and may need you to hold his paw while he goes out to pee at night. Particularly in the first couple of weeks while he is still settling into the new environment.
He can be a little nervous of new people at first meet, but it doesn't take long for him to warm up and lean in for a nice big cuddle! He is very well mannered in the home and is already toilet trained. He is doing well learning cues; he currently know sit, stay, and waits patiently for his food.
It seems Boss missed out on some of the vital socialisation stages earlier in life and is now a bit frightened of new dogs. This big boy requires nice slow introductions and an experienced handler to help him learn to walk on lead. He isn't a big fan of high energy dogs and can react to their energy when out on a walk, however if it is a nice calm dog, he is happy to walk past or have a little sniff.
Boss has the potential to live with another dog, as he lives with a few dogs in his current foster home. Once he gets to know his new furry friend, he loves to play and it is quite a sight to see. His long gangly legs have a mind of their own and tend to get tangled up underneath him when he runs!
Boss could potentially join a family with older children, he has not been tested with cats, and is not suited to livestock.
If you'd love to welcome Boss into your home, email DFL today to apply!
