Charlotte

Please meet beautiful Charlotte. We believe that this lady is a Staghound mix and approximately three years old. Charlotte has demonstrated a very playful, loving, loyal, and goofy personality.

Charlotte absolutely adores people and is just happy to be in the company of her humans. Charlotte has been good with kids, however due to her large size, cuddly personality and her very waggy tail care should be taken, especially around little kids.

Charlotte was found as a stray in early 2021 so very little is known of her history. What we do know is that Charlotte has had a rough start and was found severely underweight, covered in scars, riddled with flees, and in season.

She is as gentle as she can be with people. She loves soft toys, blankets and cuddles on the couch and has been known to steal teddies. Charlotte is crate trained, house trained, and will respond to a range of commands, however, ongoing training would be recommended.

Due to Charlotte’s history and past neglect, she tends to resource guard and become protective of her humans, food, and toys around other dogs and as such we would recommend that she be an only dog.

Charlotte mostly ignores the house cats; however, she has been known to bark when they approach her crate. Supervision and a slow introduction to any pre-existing cats would be recommended, especially if they are not dog savvy.
