Victorian Dog Rescue has a six-week full refund policy and a lifetime takeback guarantee that includes a full refund for the pet.
Please note: Pumpkin is FIV positive.
Pumpkin is a gorgeous boy, quirky and a little bit cheeky at times. He loves to watch tv and youtube channels, especially with birds. He showed a lot of interest in a dinosaur documentary, staring at the tv for ages.
Pumpkin has really settled well into foster care and is becoming more confident and his true personality is really beginning to shine. He has claimed a throw pillow which has been dubbed ‘his throne’. From this vantage point Pumpkin keeps a watchful eye on the comings and goings of the house and his faithful humans.
He's got a favourite afternoon sun spot on the arm of the couch. He sleeps on the bed with with his people almost every night and always hangs out in the lounge with them switching between their laps, the arm of the couch or playing around on the rug in front of them. He loves racing up and down the hallway and getting a big run up to pounce on his mouse! He likes the birds that land on the fence outside and he makes little chirpy noises at them through the glass.
Pumkin is litter trained. He is also very smart and a quick learner.
Whilst left to fend for himself as a kitten, he wandered into a family home, where they fed him, otherwise, left him to his own devices. Unfortunately, he did not fare very well and he is FIV positive, which means he should now remain a solo cat, unless we can find him a family already having an FIV cat, in search of a friend. Pumpkin is looking for a home where he will be adored as much as he adores you.
Pumpkin can’t wait to start a new life, where he will feel safe and loved. Are you the one to make Pumpkin’s dreams come true?

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer free assistance for six weeks for any issues, a lifetime takeback policy with full refund of the adoption fee, and will always be available to offer advice.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.

Please note that we do not take/make telephone calls prior to receiving an application.
Commonly asked questions and their answers are provided when you email us. Unfortunately we usually will not have time to reply to enquiries in more detail and will give priority to completed applications over enquiries. Priority will also be given to typed applications which are easier for us to read and to copy relevant parts.
We look forward to receiving your application.
