About Lucky
MEET LUCKY!
Lucky is approximately 8 years young, he is fully vet worked and ready for his forever home.
Cat Lovers Ballarat rescued Lucky from a rural pound where he found himself due to no fault of his own. Lucky's future was not bright at the shelter so we are grateful to have been able to give him a second chance. We have to find a safe loving forever home for this older adult kitty, to remember that he deserves love and a happy life.
Lucky is a gorgeous ginger boy who loves to give lots of affection to his trusted people.
Lucky started off a little scared and withdrawn, but after he began to trust his foster mum he has become a real sweetheart!
He loves to snuggle and purr away, If he feels a little threatened he likes to retreat (hide) under doonas or blankets as they make him feel safe. He currently lives with his foster mum and her two other young desexed female cats, he was a little standoffish with them to start with but now tolerant of them and has even begun to play too, so we are confident Lucky would be okay living with another older, friendly, passive kitty friend.
Lucky is fairly easy going once he is comfortable, but he likes things on his terms. Lucky is looking for a quieter home where he can relax, eat, sleep and occasionally play! He would be a wonderful companion for an adult household or someone living alone who needs a friend for life. He would love to have a cat tower to play on and some toys to chase when he feels like zoomies!

Medical notes
As Lucky is over 7 years old, he must be on a premium quality adult diet until he reaches 10 at which point he should switch to a senior diet. We highly recommend Royal Canin, Hills Science Diet, Blackhawk or Advance, please no supermarket diets!
We also highly recommend giving daily dental treats such as Greenies to keep his teeth in good condition.

Thank you for your interest in a rescue cat! They can make the most wonderful friends and family members.
Our rescue cats have varied histories and stories and as such they each require a different home environment, we ask prospective adopters a series of questions aimed at making the perfect match so please dont be offended when asked questions. We do not adopt to a first in first serve basis and only adopt to the most suitable home possible. If you are outside Ballarat we ask that you make time to have a 30 minute video-chat with us and the kitty you are interested in so we can get to know you a little better and you can see the kitty in its home environment before coming up to Ballarat to adopt, if you are local then we hold a meet and greet at the foster home of the kitty. We only offer video chats and meet and greets to the most suitable homes.
All of our cats at Cat Lovers Ballarat are rehomed as strictly INDOOR ONLY cats and we ask that all prospective adopters only apply if they are capable and comfortable with this.
Please have patience with us as we go through all applications and make our decisions to move onto phase 2 and offer meet and greets, this can take days and sometimes a week to go through, you will be contacted whether you are successful or not.
