About Moth
Moth:
Moth is a cautious and gentle two-year-old sweetheart. She originally came to us caring for her three kittens and one that wasn’t her own. Moth is an amazing mother and such a gentle cat she gives her kittens so much care and loves to check on them throughout the day even though they are big cats now. She is also affectionate with people and will let you know with a series of meows when she would like a pat. Being a rescue who went through a stressful time before being caught with her kittens, Moth has a bit of anxiety and can take a while to feel comfortable in an environment.
She prefers to spend most of her day resting in an enclosed or private space like under a couch or in an enclosed cat bed/tower but will come and say hi and hang out when she feels like it. She also loves sitting at the window with the kittens watching the birds and growling at dogs that dare to bark in her neighbourhood. In terms of playing, we still haven’t been able to find a toy that Moth really enjoys but she loves playing with the kittens, so we feel it would be great if she could go to a home with another cat. With her anxiety we also think another cat would help her feel more comfortable faster too.
Moth is great at using her scratching posts and is an enthusiastic eater who isn’t fussy. She is really gentle and great at leaving situations she doesn’t enjoy so would be fine in a home with older children. Given her reaction to dogs on the street I am unsure if she would be comfortable living in a house with one. If you have any other questions, feel free to get in touch Moth is such a sweet cat who is looking for a patient and caring forever home.
