√ older child friendly (10+)
√ dog friendly (no small, fluffy dogs)
? untested with cats
* 6ft fences
Rex is a lovely older boy who enjoys the company of humans and other dogs.
Being an intelligent boy, he has learnt not to bark at every dog or person walking along the street. He knows the commands "Into bed" and "Off you go", and is currently learning his basic obedience. He can be stubborn however, and choose not to listen sometimes.
He hasn't tried to jump the fence but he does need a 6ft fence to keep him safe. He loves to go on all trips in the car, especially having the window open so he can put his head out.
He is very particular about his food - he does not like pigs ears or dried food on its own. He is a bit wary of eating in front of his foster family and prefers to be left alone to dine.
Rex is wary of new places and people. With time and frequent exposure he has gained confidence, however he will need slow and gentle introductions to new people.
He has played with children in the park whilst on a lead. He may be too big for small children as he could accidently knock them over. He is quite happy playing with children 10+ years.
Rex happily plays with dogs he has been introduced to, and has not shown any aggression. He does not like small, fluffy dogs however. He has not shown any aggression to dogs he has passed in the street while on his walks.
A family or person with time and patience will undoubtedly help Rex become a great family dog!
