About Missy
Introducing the beautiful Missy.
Medium / Large sized Mastiff x Staffy.
Missy sadly (through no fault of her own), has faced a few rejections in her 6 years of life and has had multiple homes.
For such a loyal and affectionate dog, this has left her with some insecurity.
She so needs and deserves a family that won’t let her down when things get a bit tough and will hold true that she belongs with them forever.
A family that is levelheaded, patient and ready for all that love she has built up inside her.
Missy is very affectionate and will make a great companion – she loves to be with you and adores cuddles on the sofa.
She is super friendly with people and dogs.
Because she is so keen to please and tries so hard to be liked, she can be a bit over excited on first meets.
Still very much a pup on the inside (but a 30 kg bowling ball on the outside) she is best suited to a home without small children.
Missy is very happy with human company but if there is a resident dog already, a confident male with lots of energy and a love of chase and play would be awesome.
Over the last few years Missy hasn’t had much time outside the yard and she is loving seeing the big world.
She loves car rides and is doing really well walking on her harness and comes beautifully when called.
Beach, bush walks and freedom to run are a source of absolute joy to her.
She is strong on the lead but not a lunger or excessive puller.
However, lots of things excite and interest her so a strong hand would be needed as she continues to learn her manners.
We wouldn’t recommend Missy be homed with cats, pocket pets or small fluffy dogs as she has no idea of her own size and finds them fun to chase.
Missy doesn’t like being left alone outside – this is where her anxiety comes out resulting in barking and chewing.
This is only when left alone outside and may reduce as she becomes more secure, but it may not so needs to be noted.
She has a fear of having her nails cut and of the vet so patience will be needed there too.
And that is Missy – a beautiful bigger girl (30kg) with the hugest heart – who just needs a human to love her.
She is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and s up to date with her worm and flea treatments.
Her adoption fee is $425 and she is in foster care at Gympie.
If you feel you could be Missys absolute forever home and would like to meet her, please send us a detailed message telling us all about yourself and the life you would have together.
Thank You.
