About Rocky
Rocky is a four year old German Shepherd whose owner has made the hard decision to find him a new home.
Rocky is very obedient, great on the lead, has recall when called. He loves playing ball, is great with kids, however when in the pool tends to bark and gets excited with kids as he also wants to join them.
Rocky is currently living with a female Rottweiler and a male Pug which he gets along with but hardly plays with them as like all Shepherds he prefers human company. He will just run around the yard doing his own thing, making a track in the grass. He does bark at people walking their dogs past our house which is natural for him to do.
Rocky is an active dog who will be suited to a home with a family that have recently owned a German Shepherd and be the only dog.
Rocky needs a home where he will be an integral family member and be allowed inside the home.
He has not been tested with cats and pocket pets.
Intelligence, loyalty, love and companionship is what Rocky will give in abundance when he connects and builds that trust with his new owner.
If you understand the nature of the German Shepherd, have recently owned this breed, and are looking for a companion dog then please consider Rocky.
If you think you can give me a new home please contact us by selecting "Enquire about Rocky".
Medical notes
Rocky is microchipped, vaccinated, desexed and on heart worm prevention.
Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
