* 5ft fences
Hi there, my name is Rocky. My foster Mum knows one thing for sure - I’m adorable!
I’m super smart and very eager to learn new tricks. I am fully toilet-trained and walk well on the lead. I can get a bit excited when I see another dog out and about - but hey, who doesn’t?!
I’ve met cats and pocket pets in my foster home and my foster Mum said with the right introduction, I’d be fine with any four legged companion. I’m really good with doggy friends of all sizes, however I need someone who understands I haven’t had the best start to life so a quieter furry friend would suit me best.
I have sore back and hips at times which will need ongoing medication from the vet - but this doesn’t stop me from living my absolute best life! It just means I can’t jump into cars or onto the bed for a snuggle (although I’d love to snuggle if you can lift me up there!!). This also means I can’t jump over fences, so 5ft fences suit me perfectly. I would be best suited to a family with older, less active kids as I need more chill time than play time.
My ideal family would be one who spend lots of time at home and includes me in their activities. I need a loving family who will give me all the pats and cuddles I deserve, and someone who is ok to just chill on the couch and cuddle after a short stroll around the block.
If I sound like the guy for you, send Precious Paws an application - I can’t wait to meet my forever family. Could it be you?
Medical notes
Rocky will require ongoing arthritis support. The vet has recommended continuing his 6 monthly Synovan injections and daily 4cyte supplementation.
Excessive exercise and especially running and ball retrieving should also be avoided as much as possible. Daily walking/light exercising including walking up hills is recommended to maintain muscle strength.
