About Louie
Louie – 10.5 yo male - Foster Carer required with the view to Adopt
Location: Brisbane, QLD
Introducing the very distinguished elderly gentleman, Louie!
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Louie is looking for a foster carer with view to adoption for his twilight years. Because of Louie’s age these are some of the must haves for his foster home:
• an older family (children 10+) so he can enjoy the quiet life;
• a fully fenced yard for Louie to run and play in;
Louie is a loving elderly gentleman that due to various events through his life has become overwhelmed. One of the things that upsets him are storms and thunder, but who can blame him bless him! He is on medication as and if required to help with this and even wears a ‘ThunderShirt’. He would be best suited to an older family or has people working from home to give him the comfort, love and reassurance he needs.
Although Louie has issues, he is still a boxer that does the usual goofy boxer things and loves nothing more than being near his humans, having pats and cuddles or just leaning against your legs as you work.
We are told that Louie loves to get out daily for a walk – he walks very well on the lead, obeys most commands and will politely greet other dogs and people.
If you have the room in your life and heart for this distinguished gent, then please apply for Louie today!

Why fostering?
BRNA has the policy that all dogs need to be vet checked, microchipped, desexed and up-to-date with their vaccinations before they can be adopted. This all happens while in foster care (we pay the vet). When the vet work has been completed, the dog will be available for adoption.
Adoption process
If the dog is happy; the foster family are happy; we are happy and it’s a good match, we usually give our foster carers the first chance of adoption
