About Jigsaw ^^Dandy Cat Rescue^^
🐱🐱 $280 adoption fee 🐱🐱
Jigsaw is a very special calico as he is a male. This is a 1/3000 chance of happening and as such, it has taken a long time for his male parts to be ready for vet work. Now at just over four months of age, Jigsaw has had all his vet work and is ready to find a special home that is his own.
Jigsaw was surrendered to our local vet at 10 weeks of age with cat flu. The lady that brought him in was given him by a friend that worked in the industrial estate he was found in. She already had three other cats so thought he deserved a loving home of his own. He has been treated for cat flu and is well recovered.
Jigsaw has a real spunky attitude and is an absolute delight to be around. Nothing much fazes him except the big scary vacuum cleaner, but he now will watch it from a distance vs hiding under the bed. He sleeps with his carers on the bed at night or next to it in his bed and starts to wake them from 6am when it is breakfast time. He is all muscle and has been known to drag the door stop around the bedroom when playing.
His favourite place through the day is sleeping either on the bed or on the window seat.
Jigsaw is in a home with two adult cats at present and although he loves them, they do not show him the same affection. He is a very dominant kitten who does not know when enough is enough which the adults are not great fans of. They are, however, happy for him to sleep with him when he is not in his domineering, playful mood.
As such, we think Jigsaw would be better suited to an only-cat household where his humans can be the centre of his world and keep him occupied with plenty of quality play time or a home with a submissive, young female cat. We do not think he is suitable for a young family.
In the evening Jigsaw will come and sit on your lap or on the sofa.
Jigsaw is a very smart cookie. His foster carers have a cat enclosure with access via a microchip cat flap but he worked out that he could get through behind the adult cats. He now has complete access and loves going out there to race around, climb the fence and look out from the platforms higher up.
Due to his coat being mostly white, Jigsaw needs to be an indoor only cat but if there is an outside enclosure, it will need to be shaded so not to increase his chances of skin cancers in future.
He is just a delight.
Located in Cranbourne North.
