About Gus
Gus is an energetic and smart Kelpie cross Staffy, with the best of both breeds! He has the brains and energy of the Kelpie, and the loving and affectionate nature of a Staffy. Which makes Gus an ideal family dog!
Gus loves people and is easy to train so he would be perfect for an active family who want a canine friend that can keep up with their adventures. Although he loves all human company, Gus is more particular about his doggy friends. Any existing doggos should come and meet Gus to see if they will get along.
Gus loves to jump so he will need a home with good fencing or lots of space for him to run and explore. Gus is also a cuddle-loving boy and will the ideal couch companion after a fun-filled day of activities!
Adoption details
If there is a cat/dog you would be interested in adopting that you have seen online or met at our Adoption Centres, you will need to fill out an Expression of interest. You can do this at the Centres or online at: friendsofthepound.com/adoption-apply
We only adopt out cats and dogs to locations that are within 2 hours driving distance.
If you are a homeowner, we need a copy of your Rates Notice. If you have a Body Corp, we need their written permission that cat/dog ownership is allowed.
If you are in a rental we need written permission from the Home owner/Letting Agent. The letter needs to be dated within the last week and state the property address, the name of the Occupant (adopter-to-be) and how long you have been at the property.
We cannot accept deposits and no hold can be put on the cat/dog.
All adoptions need to be approved by our Cat, Kitten or Dog Coordinators or Management so you might not be able to adopt the cat or dog at the time you meet them.
We aim to match the cats/dogs with the most suitable owner and home environment. Our goal is to have the cats and dogs go to a home where they can spend their entire lives, which could be up to 20 years or more for a kitten. and 15-20 years for a puppy.
