About Arthur
BARC would love to present the most Lovable long faced, tall legged doggie you will ever meet
Arthur is a 4 year old greyhound who found himself at BARC as a stray.
With cuts and bruisers all over, you could tell he had been through some stuff but this didn't and wont stop our boy he is such a happy bouncy dog that is just looking for a best friend he can hang out with.
Arthur is extremely dog social and just loves making new friends (Human and dog) at first he can be a little full on, but once the boundaries are put into place he soon listens and respects others!
Not suited at all to a home with cats or other small animal. Being a greyhound he is very keen on chasing what ever moves, including balls he likes the fetch game.
Arthur walks really well on lead and will be up to hiking along the rivers or even going for walks on the beach as this boy LOVES water...
One thing Arthur is after in his new home is a shell pool as he LOVES going over to it and just laying down with the water covering his body, he would stay like this all day if we let him.
Arthur isn't like other Greyhounds, He has such a personality that makes him the biggest clown! His tail never stops wagging and he is always watching where the staff at BARC are going just in case its to get him out to go for a little walk.
Kids would be great company for Arthur specially if they are looking for a best friend of their own! He would be more then happy to lay with them at night and listen to the bed time story and would happily keep them safe from the monsters under the bed. In saying all of this, kids would be 8+ as he could be a little to full on for the littler ones..
If you think our amazing boy would suit your family well, please give BARC a call on 54412209 and book in for a meet and greet. you defiantly wont be walking out empty handed because you will fall in love with this sweet soul.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
