About Izzy
Two year old Kelpie girl Izzie was recently rescued from a regional pound, and has come along leaps and bounds in her Sydney foster home. Izzy has the Kelpie smarts and is easy to train, but also loves to lay around snoozing on the lounge with her foster family. She loves her humans and is affectionate.
Izzie is toilet trained, has her basic commands, travels well in the car, walks well on leash and behaves appropriately when meeting other dogs on her walks. She is happy to socialise with people and other dogs at outdoor events with her foster family.
Like many dogs recently rescued from a pound, Izzy suffers separation anxiety when her foster family go out and leave her at home and she will bark and cry. Izzy is looking for a family who work from home and who will put in the time to work with her to overcome this separation anxiety. From what her foster carer tells us, Izzy is just the most beautiful and well behaved dog, and just needs someone to work with her on separation anxiety.
Izzy is not suitable for an apartment, she needs a house with yard with good secure fences. She must be rehomed as an inside/outside dog sleeping indoors at night, and be made a part of the family. She is not a working dog but needs to be exercised each day. She cannot be rehomed with cats or other small mammals.
If you are interested in meeting Izzy, we would love to hear from you. Please do not apply for Izzy if you work full time outside the home. Thank you.
All our dogs have a two week trial period in their new home.
