BONDED BESTIES.❤❤

Thomas (short haired) DOB: 10/2/20 and Hunter DOB: 3/7/18 (long haired) They are a bonded pair.

Thomas is a very friendly and cheeky boy. As soon as Thomas arrived at his foster carer’s house he started exploring and making himself at home, requesting pats straight away. Thomas loves all types of food (and stealing Hunter’s), sleeping, and hunting any bugs that find their way indoors. He will chase a laser pointer for hours, and tummy rubs are his favourite thing. Thomas loves to lie in the sun on a windowsill and watch the world pass by, and to sit quietly near you while you go about your day. Thomas doesn’t enjoy being picked up, but will tolerate it for a short while before wriggling to be let go. He dislikes the vacuum cleaner and hides when he sees it, but reappears as soon as it’s put away again.

Hunter was rescued off the street, and over the past ten months in foster care he has come a long way. Thomas has worked hard to bring Hunter out of his shell, and the two have become bonded besties. Hunter was initially very wary of open space, and spent most of his time after arriving in foster care curled up under a couch. However he now sprawls out wherever he likes, and will sometimes even sit on the couch with you. He loves sunbathing, sleeping, wet food, and helping Thomas to groom himself. Hunter has just started to tolerate being patted gently, especially when he is distracted by a treat. Hunter is startled and feels threatened easily, and prefers to be approached at his level. If he feels uncomfortable, he will hide away until his confidence returns. Hunter is FIV+, although this hasn’t impacted his quality of life or the day-to-day care he requires.

They are both quiet, only chatty when they play. They love to play fight with each other and groom each other, and to sleep curled up together.

While Thomas will likely settle quickly into a new home, Hunter will require patience and understanding from his new family to become comfortable and at ease.

While in foster care they have not been tested around children or other animals, however, due to Hunter’s temperament this pair would likely not be suitable for families with young children.
