About Martinez
Meet little gem, Martinez! He will make you feel the most loved human on this planet. His curiosity is adorable, he always wants to know what you are up to. He will come up to you and is not afraid to ask for your attention.
Martinez has got a lot of energy. He loves playing with strings and balls. His facial expressions are very amusing. At times he looks utterly shocked or surprised. It is just hilarious!
His previous humans found him as a stray. He has now been litter trained and absolutely loves his humans and surroundings.
Once he is tired from playing, he will come to you for pats and cuddles. He will say goodbye at night and greet you in the morning by hopping onto your bed for a cuddle. If you are coming back home, he will always make sure to say hello and find out what you have been up to.
Being young and cheeky, he still has to learn his boundaries. Sometimes he mistakes your hand with his toy. By all means, this is just playfulness and he won’t hurt you. Martinez is not a fussy eater, but it is a spectacular day when fish is on the menu.
He is friendly with other cats, he's always in the mood to play. It would be a great match, if there is another cat with the same energy. They would make great friends! But if you have a cat that's quiet and reserved, Martinez might annoy them with his cheeky antics.
Ideally he is going to a home where there is someone who has enough time to play with him, potentially including a FIV-positive cat friend. Martinez really is a treasure and he will brighten your day from the moment you wake up. Since he is an FIV-positive cat, he will need to be an inside cat; but he likes going for walks with a leash and harness.
Martinez’ adoption is an assisted adoption via PetRescue's Home2Home program. You will be speaking with Martinez’ owner when you enquire.
Medical notes
Martinez is a FIV-positive cat. FIV is mainly spread through biting; Martinez used to live with another cat and he has never bitten him or attempted to bite him. He has the first dose of the F3 vaccine and will be getting his second dose soon.
Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Change of Ownership paperwork will be completed, vetwork history will be provided and your new family member will be snuggled on your couch in no time!
