About Rocky
Beautiful Rocky is a 14 month old Rotti who is looking for an understanding owner who can help him feel safe and bring back his confidence and trust. Rocky was thrown over our pound fence in the middle of the night after a relationship breakdown and neither party could or would have him.
Rocky appears to be fine with calm dogs and we believe with a slow introduction he would be ok to be housed with another dog as his previous owner said he lived with other dogs.
A guy who loves to be out showing off his good looks, Rocky enjoys his walks but can pull on the lead so he does need some further lead training. Rocky doesnt mind a jog and will happily run along beside you, but is equally happy to walk.
He shows no signs of food aggression or separation anxiety, however Rocky can be a little wary if you rush at him but once he knows you and likes you, Rocky is just a great big teddy bear who loves affection. He loves cuddles and will snuggle up under your armpits for some lovin'.
Rocky is not a fan of cats and pocket pets and therefore should not be rehomed where any are in residence.
Rocky is a super intelligent guy who loves his treats but can get quite excitable and therefore he becomes fidgety and mouthy when handling and for that reason we feel he shouldnt be rehomed with young kids or elderly as he doesnt know his own strength.
Rocky would love to be in a home where he is included as a member of the family and is involved in the day to day activities. Rocky will thrive in an environment that guides him with positive direction and lots of love and attention. He will need an understanding home, who is willing to take the time and patience to bring out the best in him and to help him see that his second chance at life will be a great one.
This incredibly handsome young guy will make a loyal companion and wonderful addition to a lucky family especially if they are prepared to put some TLC and some training into him.
Rocky's adoption fee is $600 and includes his desexing, vaccinations and lifetime registration. Rocky is also regularly treated for flea and worms.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272 to make an appointment and ask further questions.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the foster carers home or at a convenient location.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
