About Buddy
Meet Buddy, a funny, smart and cheeky ball of energy! He always wants to be near his humans and at times he even thinks he is a lap dog. He will ask your attention by putting his paws on you while you sit on the couch or he will curl up between your legs. This cheeky boy can be quite a talker, especially playing fetch!
Buddy is very excited meeting other doggo friends, big and small. It is so much fun! He settles down after a while and is still in the process of learning how to control his excitement. He is a chewer and so a bone is a great way to keep him stimulated and happy. He doesn’t have any experience with cats so far.
When Buddy is without his humans, he likes to do a big long snooze. He used to be left outside, with inside access, so he had a great choice of snoozing spots. You can wake him up at any time of the day to go for a walk in the dog park. He also would play fetch all day if he could!
Buddy is toilet and crate trained, but prefers to do his naps on the couch or his dog bed. He has a great appetite and is capable of learning new tricks very quickly (especially when there are treats involved).
Ideally Buddy would go to a home with a large backyard and/or a doggy friend. He would need a home where he is given lots of attention and time. He would also benefit from another form of training, that being obedience or agility, to practice calmness and to burn his energy. Because he can be excited at times, it may be best for him to go to a home with older kids.
Buddy’s adoption is an assisted adoption via PetRescue's Home2Home program. You will be speaking with Buddy’s owner when you enquire.
Medical notes
Buddy is fit as a fiddle with no underlying health conditions or concerns
Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s owner - the person who knows them best!
It’s a great opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
From here, the owner will be in touch with you to chat a bit more about their pet, and if they feel your home is the best fit, they will arrange a ‘meet and greet’ for you all to get to know each other.
Should this prove successful, arrangements will be made for the pet to move straight from its current home into yours upon payment of the adoption fee.
The adoption fee is paid directly to PetRescue (via a secure payment link), and assists us to continue to run and develop programs to assist pet owners, just like Home2Home.
Change of Ownership paperwork will be completed, vetwork history will be provided and your new family member will be snuggled on your couch in no time!
