About Clark
Oh what a man! Please meet Clark - this gorgeous little man was born on 20th December , 2012 and is looking forward to finding his forever family.
Clark may be 9 years old this year, but he has no intentions of slowing down! He is an active boy who just loves to be out and about for a walk. He can pull a little on lead when first heading out excited for a walk, but with a regular routine and training this should improve.
He has a super outgoing personality and he gets along with everyone! He loves being around his human friends and he also loves making new doggy friends and he gets along well with other dogs. Clark is not great with cats or pocket pets so he cant be rehomed where cats and pocket pets are in residence.
Clark shows no signs of food aggression and although he does not seem bothered by loud noises, we would recommend that he be allowed inside during thunder storms and fireworks where he knows he is safe.
Clark has shown signs of seperation anxiety while at the facility and would be best suited to a home where he was not left alone for long periods of time. He was part of a bonded pair from another rescue but the adoption parent gave his long term buddy away to a relative and gave Clark up. We could see Clark was really missing that companionship so he spends his day hanging with another little dog at the facility Spike, and we can see this has helped him immensely at the facility.
Clark is a super affectionate boy and would make a super loyal companion for the right family. He would love to be in a home where he is included as a member of the family and involved in the day to day activities. He will thrive in an environment that guides him with positive direction and lots of love and attention.
Clark's adoption fee is $500 and includes his desexing, lifetime registration. He is also regularly treated for flea and worms and is up to date with his vaccinations.

Medical notes
A couple of key notes
* Clark had a lump on his paw which is why his previous owner surrendered him. We have had that checked out and the vets have stated it is a cyst. Our vets have drained the cyst and had a look at it, they have stated it is a cellular which means no cancer was cited. We are unsure if it will come back as we are not aware of his previous medical history to know if this is a regular thing. If it does come back, it may need to be removed.
* Clark is overweight and needs to be on a strict diet and a regular exercise routine
* Clark does not like to be picked up and can be sensitive to his abdomen being touched. Vets have had a look at havent found any reason as to why this is the case.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272 to make an appointment and ask further questions.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the foster carers home or at a convenient location.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
