About Pip
Looking for that special someone 🔎
Female Pointer mix Dog 🐶
Pip has been in care for a few months now and was painfully thin when she arrived. She has come such a long way and is now looking for her forever home 🏡.
She is almost 3 years old and has a beautiful personality 🧸. She wants to be with you all the time and when you are lazing around, she is happy to snooze 💤 the day away. She is always up for a game though and likes to wrestle on the floor with you and play with toys 🪀. Pip has lots of little quirks that make you laugh and she looks intently and quizzically at you when you are talking to her. She will quickly work her way into your heart 💚.
Pip has some anxiety (of unfamiliar people, dogs and situations) so would best suit a home that is not busy, and with no small children - teenagers would be ok. She needs a calm, assertive person or family to provide loving guidance and give her the confidence to be her best self.
Pip has always been with other dogs and likes them all, when introduced properly. She would do well in a home with an older, calm male dog to help with her confidence.
Pip is house-trained 🚽✔️, using a doggie door, and sleeps through the night on her bed 💤.
No cats or pocket pets.
🩺 Medical Note:
Pip has hip dysplasia and will require an operation in the future (to be covered by AINB) so we are looking for a home that will be able to support her through this. For this reason, her home should not have slippery floors, ideally be low-set and be able to feed her a healthy diet. She would also benefit from hydrotherapy.

Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need Website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. My emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
Please note all our cats are indoor cats only.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
