About Cruz DL2784
Cruz is a happy, playful, energetic boy. Don't let his age fool you! He is very active and loves going for twice daily walks, playing with his ball, swimming at the beach, and cooling off in the pool.
Cruz is also content spending time at home with you and keeping you company; he’s at his happiest when he’s with his people.
While going for walks, he passes by other dogs unfazed. When meeting them, he tends to get overexcited and overbearing; he needs more work on his social skills to learn polite puppy manners.
For now, he may be best suited to a home as your only dog and he isn't suited to cats. So far, he's not bothered by horses or chooks, and we're told he is friendly with people of all ages.
Cruz isn't a big fan of being left home alone, particularly while he is first settling in. He'll either need company at home or plenty of entertainment (kongs, etc) to keep him occupied while you're out.
Cruz is house trained and loves to sleep next to your bed. He is excellent when meeting new people and walks well on the lead. He already knows cues such as 'sit' and 'bed', and is learning recall and how to shake paws.
If you're looking for a water-loving dog, Cruz is the one for you! Email DFLadoption@gmail.com today to apply.
Medical notes
Cruz's previous owners were told he is a Labrador X Border Collie. However, he also looks like a German Shepherd or Kelpie Mix. So his breed history is a mystery!
