About Fig
Introducing a very cute pup named Fig!
Fig has a bright and playful nature. He loves being outdoors, running and exploring, particularly when visiting his foster carer’s property. Fig is usually confident and curious about the world when out and about but if he gets a bit unsure, he likes to be next to you for support. When all the fun is over, he is a cuddly and affectionate boy. Fig loves people and snuggling up on the couch with his foster family for naps in the evenings.
In care, Fig is living with other dogs and he thoroughly enjoys their company. He loves to play and make friends. Fig is more than happy to spend extended amounts of time running around outside playing with his doggy companions. This pup is expected to grow into a smaller large sized dog (estimated 25-32kg). Fig is relatively active and will require substantial daily exercise and mental stimulation throughout his life. His new family should continue to provide him with positive socialisation experiences with other dogs.
Fig is a smart puppy who is learning his basics quickly. He loves his food and is treat motivated during training. He has mastered sit and drop (lay down). Fig is using puppy pads to toilet inside or goes outside on the grass but his new home will need to be ready to continue his toilet training in a new environment. He is walking confidently out and about on lead and showing promising basic recall. Fig enjoys going on car trips with you and travels really well.
We are looking for a dog experienced home for Fig where he will be included as part of the family. He will need a home with another playful dog or where someone is home more often than not. His new owners must be committed to continuing his training and socialisation. Puppy school is not sufficient enough, he should be engaging in regular training throughout his early life. Fig should be allowed inside to spend time with the family, have a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night and a secure yard to run around and play in. He is not suitable for apartment living. He has not been exposed to cats or children but is expected to be fine with the right guidance and training for dog savvy children who can follow direction while puppy is undergoing initial training around them.
If you are interested in giving this beautiful boy a loving home then please complete a Dog Adoption Enquiry form on the Fetching Dogs website as the first step and include plenty of details.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
