About Rusty ~ 4yr Old Cattle Dog X Foxy
Rusty is a very loving 4 year old Cattle Dog X Foxy. He is small weighing under 10kg and is timid at first. Once Rusty feels safe he is an absolute snuggle bunny who wants to be a lap dog.
Rusty is great with other dogs, cats, and children who are respectful of dogs. It would be great if Rusty could have a playmate where he’s going. He loves to play with his foster sister. Rusty has basic commands in place like ‘sit’ and ‘come’ and is eager to learn. If Rusty is locked outside he will get out of the yard to try and find you so it is important he has access to inside at all times.
Rusty is learning how to be inside and he’s going well with his toilet training. He seems to know what he shouldn’t touch inside the house and just loves to follow you around and be where you are. He is fine left at home on his own as long as he has access to inside.
Rusty sleeps in the laundry in a comfy bed throughout the night. Once morning comes, he loves to be where you are and be part of the family. Rusty walks well on lead and loves going for walks. Other dogs don’t appear to bother him while he is out. At home Rusty will play with toys but if pats and cuddles are on offer, he will choose those over toys.
Rusty is in foster care in Maryland, NSW (Lake Macquarie) and is available for local
adoption.
