About Carey
Hi, I am Carey and I am estimated to be 3 and a half years old.
I came to Gladstone PAWS weighing only 23 kg, with 10 puppies who I have successfully weaned, and most have now found their forever homes, so now it is my turn!
Life wasn't so easy for me the first few years of life, and I'd love to find a loving family to give me lots of love, care and attention and I will return that many times over.
I have discovered that running around fetching balls is great fun, so I'd love a large yard to run around in, as with my energy back, I love to do zoomies. Tall fences would be best suited to me. I am a placid friendly girl but sometimes when I get excited I forget my size and may knock over small children. I am house trained and would ideally love to be an indoor-outdoor dog, spending time with my humans and dog friends alike as much as possible. In my most recent home I took an interest in landscaping; with the goal of digging a pool for myself (or two). Sadly they didn't share my design concept. I never dug in previous foster homes which may have been because I could travel inside and outside at will.
I have been fostered with 2 small dogs previously and got on with them well and would go on a pack walk together morning and evening - I love walkies, though do pull on a lead.
I am a sweet and easy to get along with medium to large size girl and also a great watch dog. I am very food orientated which helps with my training, as I can be stubborn at times so need an owner to be the boss. My 5 year plan involves a lot of relaxation, cuddles, and snacks......because I deserve it!
