About Cindy - 19 year old (on trial 06/02/22)
This is the sweetest old baby in the world, darling, 19 year old, Grandma Cindy.
Cindy came into care a little while ago as her beloved human mum had to go into care and unfortunately couldn’t take Cindy with her. Due to her rather impressive age, the plan was for Cindy to live out her remaining time in foster care where she could be kept safe and loved on. However, after a few weeks with her foster family, they realised that this sweet old lady was in rather good nick!
Cindy’s foster mum adores her and would love to spend every day drinking tea and watching Days of our Lives together, but she has other cats who are not quite as keen on the old girl. For this reason Cindy lives in the spare room, which is a fine short term solution but Cindy looks like she's going to be around for a bit longer than that! She deserves a bit of space to stretch her old legs out in her retirement.
Cindy is an absolute delight to have. She is super cuddly and friendly, and purrs like mad whenever she is given attention or gets a call from her grandchildren. She mainly sleeps during the day but would love to do this right next to a special someone! That being said, she is not needy and hasn’t complained at all about spending days alone while her humans are at work. She loves sitting at the window and watching the world go by, and she loves a bit of an explore in her outdoor enclosure.
We are not aware of any health conditions, however given Cindy’s age we do not want to subject her to invasive investigations and treatment. She eats and drinks well and uses the litter box beautifully. She is also surprisingly nimble, and jumps onto and off her personal double bed with ease. Any potential new family should accept that adopting a senior baby doesn’t come with a guarantee of years of happiness - but the time you get will be so wonderful and rewarding. Cindy is worth it!
Cindy would be amazing for a quiet home with a single person or couple, or a family with older children who can be gentle with her. She doesn’t come with an adoption fee but her new family should be in a position to keep her safe, loved, and well supplied with her favourite treats.
