Polo

Polo is a young excitable, energetic kelpie who is looking for an active, working dog experienced family of his very own. He has energy to burn so his new family will need to be able to provide him with lots of exercise and enrichment.

Polo would be best suited to a home consisting of dog experienced teens and adults. He can be quite boisterous and shows signs of a high chase drive so would not be suitable for children.

Polo is quite a vocal dog so would not be suitable for suburban built up areas. His new home will need to have a large backyard with high secure fences and his new family will need to be ok with inviting him inside to be part of the family. He will need to have people home at least part-time initially to help settle him into his new home and to be able to invest into a good foundation for his new life.

Polo's new family will need to be prepared to do lots of on going training with him. He is a very smart young pup who is very eager to learn. He can be very excitable and can sometimes find it hard to focus. He would benefit from lots of enrichment as well as doing some herding, agility or other dog sports down the track.
