About Rhett & Niki
Rhett and Niki are a bonded pair. They are looking for a new forever home through no fault of their own as their owner has gone into an aged care facility and can longer care for them.
They like to crawl into your lap for a cuddle. They would suit a house where there is company but they can be left alone for reasonable hours, not long hours. They would suit a quiet home where people are home most of the time, eg someone who works from home/ retired. They like to hang out near you whilst you work out watch tv and snuggle.
They enjoy short daily walks (we currently walk them in the morning and evening for about 15-20 min each time) and they have access to the yard for sunbaking and sniffing around. They are toilet trained. They are ok with kids. No cats. They could tolerate other dogs but haven't really shown much interest in playing with other dogs or toys.
Rhett is 9 years old and Niki is 6 years old.
Both Rhett and Niki are small and short coated so will shed hair. They are used to using a dog door with access to a yard. This pair are not suited to apartment living.
Adoption details
Animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed and on heartworm prevention / and also FIV tested for cats where possible. They are not available for adoption outside NSW (except ACT). Please email par.adoptions@gmail.com if you would like further information.
Dogs and cats are rehomed on two weeks trial to ensure that both the person adopting them and the rescuer are satisfied that the dog / cat / animal is happy and adapting well to their new home and this can be extended on request
Please be aware that Paws and Recover is run by volunteers who also work. We endeavour to answer enquires as quickly as possible. Some animals will inevitably be very popular and will generate many enquires. Where there is a high volume of enquires received, it will be our priority to contact those that best fit the requirements of the animal. This may mean that it is not possible for all enquires to be answered. Please keep an eye on the website for all updates.
Providing quality information as a part of your enquiry including information about your home environment, family, work hours, other pets and what you are looking for in a companion animal along with what you can offer one will greatly assist.
Please always provide a contact phone number as a part of your enquiry.
