ADOPTION PENDING

I'm a buckskin gelding, and I'm approximately 12hh.

I arrived at the RSPCA in bad condition, along with my little friend Mike. I was underweight and my coat was matted from dirt and faeces. I have slightly worn front teeth, from having little to no pasture, but they don't cause me any issues.

I have been a frightened little pony, and was very difficult to catch. I didn't realise I was missing out on so much love until now. I trust my human friends now, they take their time with me, give me treats, cuddles and brushes, which I love. I am a good boy to catch now, even out in big paddock, I just need you to approach me very slowly and calmly, and then I feel safe.

I lead well, I tie up, and I'm getting better all of the time when I have a bath.

I was relatively unhandled when I arrived here, so having my feet and legs touched was a very scary thing for me. Well, now I'm a good boy with my front feet, and while I'm pretty good with my back feet for the people I'm familiar with and trust, I need a lot of extra work on this, because when the farrier came, I didn't know him, so I had trouble letting him do my back feet. However, I'm trying super hard to get better with this, so with some more practise, I'm sure I will be a pro in no time.

Getting pats was also a stressful thing for me, so I used to be a very tense little pony, but now, I love cuddles. I need slow and steady, consistent desensitising to different things touching me and happening around me.

I am still very young, and learning still, and because I am a sensitive boy, I would love a home where someone will work with my issues regularly, and in turn, I will become a wonderful little pony and family member for you.
