About Marcelline
Marcelline a victim of feline bullying needs a home
Marcelline came into care at the same time as another 7 or 8 cats from a country pound in Northwest NSW. She was left behind in a house when the owner left.
She has been in our care over 9 months.
She is a sweet and gentle cat who is very affectionate. Unfortunately she has not been doing well at the shelter as one of the long term female resident cats has been terrorising her. This had reached a point where poor Marcelline was hiding in corners or under cages and afraid to come out to eat or use the litter box. We have intervened and she is now in her own cage so things have improved in many ways for her.
The distressing aspect of Marcelline being isolated from the other cats and away from the volunteers is she is very social and is missing the pats and cuddles she used to get. So each time a volunteer goes to clean her cage she escapes and is so very excited out in the cat room - that is until Vagabond finds her and before you know it she is cowering in the corner again. Despite this she is really reluctant to go back into isolation - she wants to risk the wrath of Vagabond.....we can't do that to her though :(
