About Charlie
Charlie is a handsome 1.8kg Toy Poodle. He is affectionate and likes to watch TV sitting on your lap. He gives sweet kisses and will make for a wonderful close companion pet.
He will need clipping at a Grooming Salon at least 6 times per year and an annual Dental(teeth cleaned under aesthetic). Toy Poodles are prone to plaque build up on their teeth which causes gum disease, resulting in pain and discomfort due to infection. As a result, their teeth must be cleaned by a Vet annually. Charlies new owner will need to financially be able to meet these ongoing costs.
Toy Poodles need an owner who has plenty of time to spend with them, as they are very needy. They are the opposite of independent and want to be with their humans as much as possible. A person who works from home or retired individual/couple would suit. He will need an adult only home that is quiet where he can spend his days being cuddled, walked, played with then relax in air conditioned comfort.
Please note that he will not be considered for adoption into homes where there are children as Toy Poodle have little tolerance for their behaviour. Adults will need to be of an age where they will still be alive in 15+ years (as its not uncommon for them to live into their late teens)
If you understand what a Toy Poodle needs and are happy to spend the next 15 years making him happy, please contact Robyne on 0411069622.
Medical notes
Charlie has irritable bowl syndrome which means that he feels sick unless kept on a hyper allergenic diet. This consists of "Royal Canin Hypoallergenic" biscuits and cans of wet food. A months supply of food will be provided to the new owner. After much trial and error, this is the diet that keeps Charlie healthy and comfortable. His new owner will need to be prepared to continue with this diet for his entire life.
