Patricia is a real character, she's one of those special “once in a lifetime” dogs who is impossible not to fall in love with. She has spent many months in foster carer while pregnant and being the best mum raising her babies, needless to say- her foster family are quite attached to her as much as she is to them. She will find the adjustment to her new home a little difficult and scary but with some time and patience her love and loyalty will transfer to her adopters for a long and joyful life in her new home. The 3-3-3 rule is very much what Patricia’s new home will need to practice with her.
A master of many funny faces, Patricia is still a pup who just loves to have fun! She lives life with an infectious joy in her heart. She loves to be with her people as much as she loves to play zoomies and tug with resident dogs. While in care she has shown that she enjoys a good game of bitey face with dogs who like to play wrestles. She’s been around small dogs and old dogs and dogs who don’t really like to play and has shown versatility and respect for other dogs boundaries.
Great on leash, she is still learning about the big busy outdoor world. With lots of praise and taking it slow, she’s getting more confident on walks. She’s a country girl at heart and will take some time to build up to noisy busy high traffic areas. She does like to let the neighbours know when their kids or dogs are playing too loudly, but has great recall and stops her protest quickly.
She loves humans, can take a while to warm up to some men – . passed the grand kid test with flying colours- like 99.99% of dogs she’s not one for being crawled over, sat on and ears pulled, she is also at toddler face height, so a respectful and dog-confident children will be considered.
When she’s left at home without her humans she does have a quiet cry about the situation but settles quickly if she’s allowed access indoors with her dog friends. Patricia is a beautiful young soul who just needs to be needed and feel like part of the family.
She sniffed our very old and slow cat-potato but has not been tested around skittish cats. As with any introductions to new pets, it should be taken slowly and be supervised.
