Elfie is a great girl, she is active and happy and loves walks and good and snuggling . Elfie has little elf ears and a slender greyhound body, but small than a typical grey , bigger than i whippet .
Elfie loves people and prefers to be only pet. She is quite athletic so a good fence, for her safety is best. No small animals, birds, lizards or pocket pets. Elfie is a good thief and will steal from the kitchen bench 😆 she is a real character , always making her carers laugh at her antics.
If you’d like to apply for Elfie we ask that you use the link supplied just below, don’t send an enquiry, just the link
A message from her carer
“ Elfie will make a wonderful addition to any home. She is very loving and cuddly. She’s not a watchdog, but will occasionally bark – usually at other animals rather than people at the door.
She is confident and doesn’t spook easily. However there are some things that make her a lot like a fight hound and a little jumpy, like a fast moving bicycle. She can’t be trusted with cats, small animals, or birds lizards etc
I don’t think she received much correction in her previous home, so she is learning some manners, like coming when she is called, waiting before rushing through a doorway, sitting and waiting before receiving her dinner, and not jumping on furniture. She has learnt to ‘sit.’
She is usually ok when passing dogs on her walk unless they run (!), or they are aggressive with her first, in which case she gives as good as she gets! She usually just ignores people. She walks well on the lead, sometimes needs some correction for pulling. She has absolutely no road sense.
She does not play with toys on her own and does not chase a ball or fetch. She will play ‘tug of war’ though.
She will search out food and take it – you can’t leave anything tasty out on the bench/table where she can reach it. She has even taken chocolate (wrapped but not sealed) out of someone bag! She doesn’t like chicken”

Here are some quick tips to make your APPLICATION stand out:
Include as many details as you can about your lifestyle, family, accommodation, and work. Here’s some first-hand feedback from our member rescue organisations about what they'd like to see in your applications:
🐱 Why would this animal suit your home? (This lets them know that you've read the pet’s bio and considered their personality vs. your lifestyle)
🐾 Details about your family
🏡 Is your home quiet/relaxed or loud/busy? (Particularly important for timid cats). Ask questions, to show your are interested in the animals ell being.
Add questions into the application.
Fill out the profiles of your current pets if you have any. Understanding the personality of resident cats and dogs will help rescue organisations or foster carers determine if the pet will adjust to your surroundings.
Remember to be respectful and kind in your enquiries. A simple greeting can go a long way! Behind that screen is a real hooman, who loves and cares for the pet you're enquiring about just as much as you will!
Be open and honest - rescues prefer having as much information as they can about potential adopters.
