About Scarlett
New Year. New Start.
Scarlett is the definition of a big cuddly mama bear. After two litters, and lots of love in the form of treats, this sweet girl has gained a few extra pounds over the years. In true New Years fashion, she's made the commitment to shed the extra pounds and she's on the hunt for a new loving family (and a walking buddy - for short walks) who is committed to helping her achieve this goal.
In return, you'll be showered with love and affection. This sweet pup has all the love in the world to give and would love to spend all day cuddling with you on the couch.... if only she could jump up. #goals
She will be your protector, your shadow and your best friend. Much accustomed to an indoor lifestyle, she would love someone who is home more often than not. She does whimper a bit when you leave, but it doesn't take long for her to settle herself and take a nap until you return.
She has lived harmoniously with a cat in foster care, but can get a little excited and bark at other dogs when she's met them walking on the street. As Scarlett has had a hard life living in a large group of dogs she would be best suited to a home with no other dogs but would be ok living with a dog friendly cat. Her ideal house would be in and adult household or a family with teenage kids.
Scarlett has some mild arthritis in her hips due to being overweight for a long time, this is currently being well managed with pain relief and will require future care and regular vet checks.
Scarlett is fully toilet trained, and walks beautifully on a lead, this gorgeous pup would be a wonderful addition to any family.

The information you provide helps us match the dog you've applied for to the most suitable home. We use this information in lieu of an application form. We do not take applications for dogs over the phone. We aim to reply to all applications within 5 business days. All of our dog meet and greets occur at the adoption centre in Craigieburn.
The majority of our dogs are in a foster home not at the shelter so you need to apply via the website to meet them. Thank you.
