If you are looking for a dog who will be totally devoted to you, Cody is your girl. If you are wanting a dog who will look at you like you are the absolute love of her life, Cody is your girl. If your idea of having a dog is means having a constant companion, Cody is your girl. If you want a dog who will happily join you on whatever activity you enjoy, Cody is your girl.
Good with other dogs? Cody! Cat friendy? Cody! Kid friendly? Cody! Obedient? Cody!
As you can tell, whoever gets to adopt Cody will be extremely lucky. Cody’s previous owner told us that she was 4 or 5 years old, our vets think she is around 8 or 9 years old, and the truth is probably somewhere in the middle. Cody absolutely loves to be wherever her humans are. She is great in the car, in the house and on lead (I have just witnessed a 3 year old child put a leash on her and take her for a walk around the yard).
Weighing in at around 15kg, Cody is on the smaller side for a Kelpie. She has plenty of energy to go for runs or hikes or any other activity that you enjoy but is calm when inside the house. Cody is very clever and will do anything she can to make her humans happy. She is gentle around food and is an absolute joy to have around.
Cody would do best in a home where she could spend lots of time with people. Staying home in the yard for 40 hours a week while her humans worked would make her sad and bored. Cody might be a bit “needy” for some people but for those who believe that dogs are truly man’s (and woman’s and child’s) best friend, Cody will fill your home and heart with love
