What I need in my new home:
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A doggie playmate who is gentle and calm may be okay as boisterous dogs scare me.
• I appear scared of cats but may be okay with a dog friendly cat.
• Secure Fencing
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• A quiet & mature family/household - this is what I am used too
• Short regular walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• I can be shy at first so I need a family who'll allow me to grow in confidence in my own time
• A family that will love and care for me during my twilight years

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• No young children as I can be a bit shy in new situations and with new people and little ones may accidently scare me. Older children should be ok

My best features:
• Highly food motivated
• Gentle & placid
• I have had some basic obedience training and am a generally well-mannered dog
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans once I get to know you
• Well mannered
• Love to snooze on the couch

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I am shy at first with new people and in new environments so will require a family who will take their time allowing me to settle in and continue on with my socialization.
AN ADOPTION CAN'T BE APPROVED IF YOU HAVE CANNOT COME TO THE SHELTER TO MEET MONKEY IN PERSON.

ANY EXISTING DOGS AT HOME MUST COME TO THE SHELTER TO MEET MONKEY BEFORE AN ADOPTION CAN BE APPROVED
