About Bliss
Bliss by name, and bliss by nature. What a delight this young lady has been!
Not only did she raise her litter of 5 kittens, but she took on an orphan kitten to bring her litter to 6. And then when they were almost weaned, took on another litter of 5 grey kittens. Absolute super-star mum!!
Very friendly girl who enjoys being near you, getting pats and cuddles, doesn't mind being picked up and snuggles up to you on the bed. She is very mellow and relaxed. Sometimes meowing at you for attention.
Bliss came into care very, very thin, and while she isn't a big eater, she is now at a healthy weight and enjoys a mix of wet and dry food.
As she has medium length fur she will need to be regularly brushed. She isn't a huge fan, but a few brushes once or twice a week should be enough to keep the matts out of her tail and fur. As she is an indoor only cat, this routine is manageable.
Bliss is a very easy-going cat. While she has been fiercely protective of all of her kittens from the household dog with lots of hisses and swipes, she has never scratched or hurt anyone, and will happily snooze and cohabitate near the dog and watch the kittens play with her.
For this reason I would say she would suit a home with existing pets. She will likely take up the prime sleeping position on the bed though!
Bliss has weaned all of her kittens and has now been desexed. Enjoying days spent snoozing by the window-sill and coming up for chin scratches and pats.
She has been a delight to foster and I am thankful for her efforts in helping raise 11 kittens. She deserves a wonderful forever home with a family that will keep her safely indoors, and give her all the love and affection she deserves.
If you would like to apply to adopt her, please email us! She is based in Windsor, NSW and is ready to meet you.

Our animals are rescued from various pounds and shelters and placed in Foster Care until a permanent home can be found. Our volunteer Foster Carers are located throughout Sydney, Australia and are only too happy to assist you.
DCH Animal Adoptions relies solely on our adoption fees and the generous support of the community to continue our rescue work. Many times, we are faced with large veterinary bills due to the illness and injury that comes along with looking after pound rescues.
