About Billy ~ 19mo Wolfhound X Cattle Dog(On Trial 22/1)
This handsome scruffball is Billy, a male 19 month old red cattle x wolfhound. Despite the wolfhound mix, Billy is only medium sized at about 20kg.
Billy is a lovable affectionate boy who just wants to be by your side! He can be a bit timid and cautious when meeting new people or animals and in new situations, but he has shown great improvement with his foster carer and is gaining confidence daily. With future training and support Billy will be the perfect mate.
Being part cattle, Billy does like to be active but he is also happy to chill out and sleep. One good walk and some playtime daily keeps him happy. Billy would suit an active single person or couple where he would receive plenty of love, attention, exercise and training. He is also looking for a home where he is a part of the family and allowed inside.
Billy has had some basic training, he sits when asked and also for treats. He walks well on the lead, usually on a loose lead by your side but he can pull when distracted and sometimes react to dogs, bikes and prams, so he will need further training to feel comfortable. He travels well in the car.
Billy has shown that he likes the company of other dogs, so a playmate would be ideal, particularly an older brother or sister that can help him learn and keep him company.
Billy’s carer works full time and he has managed this well with dog company. Billy has been sleeping inside and as long as he gets to go to the loo before bedtime he has been very good through the night.
Billy is untested with cats and will be best in a household with older kids only.
This sweet boy could be your perfect companion.
