About Lucy 🌼💐
This little stunner is Lucy our 11 week old Border Collie x 🌼
Lucy’s mum is a purebred working Border Collie, but dad we are unsure about. He was from a neighbouring property, so could of possibly been a Kelpie 🤷♀️
Lucy is a sweetheart full of energy and sass !! Her foster family call her Miss Personalty.
Lucy is currently in care at Buff Point but will be spending most of her days at Follyfoot Childcare centre, where her foster mum works. In the afternoon she will return to her foster home to learn all about the routines of a home.
As you can imagine Lucy will have plenty of exposure to young children and new people coming through the centre and has been socialised with other dogs during his time in care and enjoys playing with them all.
The Border Collie was originally bred to gather and control sheep. They’re dogs with unlimited energy, stamina and working drive, which makes them ideal working/herding dogs. Border Collies are highly trainable and extremely intelligent and also often excel in various canine sports, including obedience, flyball and agility. They can make great family companions, so long as they get A LOT of physical and mental exercise. You’ll also have to be comfortable with a dog who can outsmart you from time to time 😉
Lucy is not looking for apartment life, nor a home with a courtyard…..her dream is living a life on property/farm where she has other doggie friends to keep her company while her humans aren’t home. She would love an active family who understand her needs and allow her to be the best she can be.
If you feel that Lucy would fit into your home and lifestyle, please send us an email and provide us with some details about yourself, your home and lifestyle, and why you need this girl in your life ❤️

Adoption details
If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer this gorgeous baby. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest.
Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone.
