About Max the Maremma
Max is a sweet, 20-month-old Maremma looking for his rural idyll!
Max was raised in the suburbs and displays no desire to be a livestock guardian, but requires a rural or semi-rural home due to his breed. Please note: No suburban applications will be considered.
Max LOVES other dogs, is safe around chickens, farm animals and has even lived in harmony with cats - though he sometimes wants to play when they don't!
Max MUST have another playful dog in his next home - he loves to rough and tumble - and it needs to be another medium or large dog, else he could inadvertently squash a little one!
He loves his toys, enjoys a car ride, is fully house-trained and is affectionate and friendly with his people. He has also lived with children in the past and been loving and protective of them.
Max is also protective of his property and wary of new people, however, as are all Maremmas, and will bark at strangers until a slow and gentle introduction is conducted.
Marvellous Max is the sweetest thing.
