Betty-Rose was named after Betty White, a wonderful advocate for animals. When we received this beautiful girl into care very early into the new year, what better name to honour her with!
Betty-Rose is approximately 4 months old and is sweet, gentle girl. Her breed mix is unknown, but she is a fairly big pup. With her lovely nature we believe Betty-Rose would be great with kids although may be a bit bouncy for very young ones. She is very nearly toilet trained, and is a good girl when indoors, and not noisy when outside. She's great at night time, sleeping indoors without a peep. She loves her toys but is still figuring out what's hers and what isn't, so her new family will need to keep their precious items (eg those expensive shoes) out of her reach for now and provide her with some good chew toys.
Betty is learning to walk on lead but will need ongoing practice. She will need daily exercise and lots of interaction with her family. Betty is great with the other dogs in her foster home, although she is rather full on like most pups and just wants to play so she may not be the best match for a home with a senior dog who will find her too energetic. Because her foster family don't have cats, her carer tested her with the resident vet clinic cat and although she was fine at first she then started to growl, so we feel a home without felines would be best.
Betty-Rose loves her food and her fave place to lounge is on top of the resident Staffy!
If you are an active household wanting to welcome a happy and energetic young dog into your family, and have the commitment and time to continue her training, socialisation with other dogs, and exercise her, then Betty-Rose might be just the dog you've been searching for!
